This small but cozy cabin provides you a hawk’s eye view of the mountains as you relax on the open deck, screened porch or sitting in the hot tub. You feel like you can fly right off the deck as you view the openness of this panoramic view.....it will take your breath away! Take time out from your busy schedule of the hustle and bustle of daily life and just take in all that Mother Nature has to offer from this cabin. The spring is a great time to view the rhododendron and wild dogwood come alive from their winter sleep. Hawks Crest deck is surrounded by mountain laurel that provides a backdrop to the great view!
Enjoy a nice cup of coffee early in the morning as you watch the mountain awake to another beautiful day or just relax in the hot tub after a great day of hiking, horseback riding, tubing or whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River! Take a nice walk late in the afternoon or early in the morning and you might be lucky and see a deer or turkey!
Hawks Crest is a one level cabin with a screened porch on the side of the cabin where you can enjoy the view rain or shine! Enjoy the open deck as you grill and enjoy a nice lunch with family or friends! This deck also has the hot tub.
There is a living room with a stone wood burning fireplace (Oct 1 to April 1), dining room and kitchen with a dishwasher. This cabin also has a washer and dryer. Hawks Crest has only one bath but you feel like you are truly in a mountain hideaway as there is an antique claw-footed bath tub with a shower. There are also two bedrooms with queens and the front bedroom has a door onto the open deck!
Come and enjoy our quaint little town of Blue Ridge as you visit all of the shops. Take a trip to Mercier’s Orchard and pick up some apples, jam and jellies or even that Southern favorite “fried pie”! Fall is a great time as we have many fall festivals along with the brilliant colors of fall, red, orange and gold, as the mountains ready itself for a winters sleep! Whatever the reason or the season make Hawks Crest your cozy mountain hideaway!
